Oedipus's tragic flaw is his excessive pride and arrogance, known as hubris. He believed that he was clever enough to solve the riddle of the Sphinx and that he could outsmart the gods. His hubris leads him to ignore the warnings of the prophet Tiresias, who tells him that he is the one who has murdered his own father and married his own mother. Oedipus refuses to accept the truth and accuses Tiresias of plotting against him. He also refuses to listen to the pleas of his wife Jocasta, who realizes the truth before he does. Ultimately, Oedipus's pride blinds him to the reality of his situation and leads to his downfall.
